Workshop: Transforming Worship for Conferences, Retreats and Continuing Education Events PDF Print E-mail
As event planners we are regularly called to design or coordinate worship which undergirds and enriches many and varied contexts for lifelong learning.

Amidst our urgency to uncover music and liturgies which are generationally and culturally hospitable, authentic, formative, and enlivening for worship in this present age, it is exciting to explore anew some “simple gifts” which are timeless: patterns for Daily Prayer and the Eucharist, Psalm-Songs, Healing Prayer, sung prayer of Taize and Iona Communities, marvelous varieties of global song, and image-filled (while less dense) hymn texts offered in a lively variety of musical expressions---including treasured hymn tunes. Our workshop will feature overview and exploration of the new Upper Room Worshipbook: Music and Liturgies for Spiritual Formation, presented by its compiler and editor, Elise Eslinger.
